Made me stand up every morning for thirteen years to praise a flag hanging in the corner and utter the words “one nation, under god, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” And then have the nerve, the gaul, the gumption to wonder why millennials are so fired up?! We know what our potential is; we grew up seeing what we could do together. We were taught to treat others as we want to be treated. And now? vilified for trying to get that back.

Lately I've reaIized how much I looked forward to live tv shows back then. The excitement of new seasons of shows in the fall and watching sitcoms. The Friday night pizza nights. Even renting movies at the store... it's all just gone.

Last time in are lives when we could just. Go out side with zero worries fear or regret. Only thing on are minds was hanging with are friends catching the toonami. After school and sitting down with are parents at dinner now those days are behind us and we see the world had leaped in a direction that makes the world seam empty and quiet the world needs to go back to those days

when our phones weren't distracting us from reality, we were able to connect with our friends and make memories with our family and cousins we grew up being as close as siblings to. real connection is gone. no one knows how to just be anymore.

I know nostalgia is a very addicting drug, but it was so much different back then. Can’t help but want to go back. It’s painful sometimes. Hits you like a ton of bricks knowing you can never get that back.
