I’m at my wits end too. Had a cyst removed and my right ovary in 2019 it was so bad. However, now I wish I would have just gone with hysterectomy. Hang in there! 😥

It’s cysts & endometriosis. I’ve had 7 surgeries for this. My periods are still little painful but not like before.

I actually went through this. My ultrasound and MRI came out normal. I had a 5 cm cyst on an ovary and got put on hormones to make it go away/shrink. In 3 months it shrunk to 3 cm. However, my periods kept being painful. I’ve had painful periods since I was a teenager. I’m 33 yrs old now. My doctor was in Houston, TX. She told me we had to do a laparoscopic excision surgery. I underwent surgery in May. My period pain is day and night. I have pretty much zero pain now during my period. I believe there’s a Facebook group called Nancy’s nook endometriosis education that recommends specialists for endo, it has a lot of resources for women. I found out about it after my surgery.

Ultrasound tech here would you mind sharing how big the cyst? Anything over 3cm can definitely be the reason for pain!

Ugh girl I hate you’re going through this and hope you get to the bottom on this. For you and honestly for me so please share your journey!! I don’t have to insurance or money to see a specialist rn. Anyways, I have been dealing with this for the majority of my adult life. I’m 26 now and I started realizing discomfort in pain with everything since I was like 18-19.. well when I was 21 I had to go into emergency surgery for a ruptured cyst that had me internally bleeding and they were saying they may have to take one ovary possibly two ovaries from me thankfully, they did not have to take any and I am still here and I didn’t die. It was really scary, but I’ve been to the doctor and had checkups with my gyno and everything and they just act like it’s normal and I still feel pain every month on my period leading up to it sometimes after there’s discomfort and it sucks to be honest and a few times I went to the doctor after my surgery and in the past few years and stuff they just brushed it off like nothing’s wrong with me.

An auto inflammatory diet is the only thing that helped me manage my endometriosis periods. I was passing out from pain but now it’s manageable!

Have you looked into the iud? I have endometriosis and cysts. When the cysts rupture it’s so painful. The advice I was given at 21 with endometriosis was to have a d&c when I want to conceive (which is also painful). My symptoms did lesson over time then I got an IUD and that has helped so much

I have dealt with the SAME thing. Since highschool, I have had to take a week off every month for my period. On the floor crying with cramps. Been on BC ever since…. Haven’t gotten any answers either. 😔😔

Getting a laparoscopy done to see the endometriosis and also remove it was the best thing I ever did! ( small incisions) I had much lighter periods, way less pain! The amount of clotting I would be passing during my cycle had been ridiculous. I’ve had a laparoscopy done two times in the last 10 years and each time my pain has been substantially less for about five years after each procedure. My cycle on the pill was 7-10 days… now it’s more like 4 and barely any pain🙌🏼 best of luck in you

I switched to a Whole Foods diet and it helped a ton. Less processed food and rarely drink coffee or Starbucks.

As someone who went through this, for years they thought I had cysts but turns out I had endometriosis and fibroids in my ovaries. I would end up in the hospital from my period pains and they’d just say oh it’s your cyst bursting or just causing pain. Keep going to the doctors until they genuinely diagnose you properly and have a surgery to remove your cyst
