Luke :
If God had forced Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit, they’d be robots. No free will, no love, no meaning. The command not to eat wasn’t a trap — it was a line drawn so they could choose whether to trust Him. He already knew they’d cross it, but He allowed it because the lesson mattered more than comfort. The “punishment” wasn’t revenge; it was consequence — separation, pain, the reality of life without perfect harmony. But even then, He clothed them, protected them, and set in motion a plan to fix what they broke. That’s not evil. That’s a parent letting a child touch the stove once so they finally understand what “hot” means — not to harm them, but to teach them something they’d never forget. So no not an evil god. A just one, patient enough to let us learn the hard way.

Pandora Box and the Forbidden Fruit are basically the same thing. The story of Adam and Eve is symbolic, the Bible is to be interpreted in that way since 80% of it is parables and poetry.

The enemy will say ANYTHING to get you to turn away from God. Stay strong brothers and sisters. May God bless all of you! God is all love and all mercy! Jesus is king of all!

Knowledge of good and EVIL! The snake taught them evil! They already knew good because there were in Eden. After learning about disharmony they weren’t pure anymore so they had to leave harmony for the shadow world because there is no darkness in light. That’s why they fell

I just discovered Gnosticism and it’s FASCINATING! I’m Agnostic (former Mormon) and honestly this version makes way more sense than main stream christianity 😂

If god made everything he also made the snake to tempt them to begin with, further strengthening his evil and wickenes.

name goes here :
the Bible makes more sense when you think of it as a book of archetypal stories than a literal book of truth. think of it like Hesiod's Theogony or Homer's Iliad.

If the good God didn’t know the Demiurge (presumably Yahweh) would go rogue, then the good God isn’t omniscient. If the good God knew but allowed it, then the good God isn’t benevolent. And if the good God couldn’t stop it, then the good God isn’t omnipotent. So in the end, the Gnostic system still wrestles with the same philosophical knot the orthodox one does, the existence of evil in a world supposedly made (or permitted) by a perfect being. What your saying falls apart when you look at it critical. Saying “the evil god made the world” only shifts blame, it doesn’t remove it. It’s like saying, “My creation did something terrible, but I created it on purpose.” The ultimate accountability still leads back to the creator no matter how you slice it.

Brother, for that opening statement was revealed as sheer irony. The tree of knowledge of good and evil gave us the ability to define morality for ourselves. The problem is, we define it subjectively. Objective morality must come from something outside of humanity: God. The God in the OT wasn’t evil. Read Deuteronomy, 1 Samuel-2 Chronicles, and the Prophets. God explicitly warned Israel what He would do if they turned away from Him. They did it anyway.
