I’m assuming they’re assuming that you’re somehow selfemployed! Students don’t pay as much as one does that has a job! Call them, educate yourself in the Verbraucherzentrale and get your receipts ready and copied 😅😅😅

health insurance is mandatory in Germany. As long you don't have proven what the amount of your income is. hi ou will be set to the highest tarif. This happend to me as I wasn't eligible for the student tarif, they charged me 600€ per month. but was adjusted as soon I showed the my Steuererklärung, that proofed how much my income is

They assume the maximum rate because they don't know your income! Fill out the questionnaire and you will receive a new (lower) bill. OR Your mother will add you back to the family insurance if she also lives in Germany? If you are a student, that might be possible
