This is so crazy. I was with someone for 6yrs. We broke up but it was a much needed heartbreaking separation. I feel like we both knew or wanted to make sure we didn’t do anything to cause such a rift that it couldn’t be repaired so we separated very amicable and respectful. 6yrs later we’re back together working on rebuilding. Our communication back then was incredibly lacking, neither of us wanted to talk about anything out of fear or hurting the other but in the end we were both very hurt. This time it feels more mature. More careful. More intentional. I’m showing up in ways for him that I knew I was lacking previously and he’s showing up for me in ways he knew I needed him then. It’s been wonderful. I hope this time we can get this right 💛

This. We met in such an unlikely way. It had to be divine. He was scared and avoidant and I was not having it. I ended things and he realized what he lost. We reconciled and it has been nothing short of amazing. I cannot believe how connected we are. He treats me better than I could have dreamed. We just exchanged "I love you" tonight.
