my understanding is that this is for pouring oil and balsamic over the ground garlic to use as a dip for bread, and not for prepping garlic for cooking.

these comments are making me really really concerned for the world. she wants to know how to get the rest of the garlic out so she can cook with it. if she washes or rinses it that defeats the entire purpose. the only thing I could think of is possibly is a silicone spatula that's the same thickness as the spaces in between.
