years ago when I was studying law our lecturer pointed out how unfair the rules were around this. If you use a 'weapon' you get demonised but how can a woman defend herself against men?

I got an abh charge for defending myself he got taken to court and walked away because the situation wasn’t treated as dv situation and the evidence wasn’t taken correctly. I had to get a restraining order which he ended up violating repeatedly.

Where’s the video evidence because without seeing that then it’s difficult to judge whether it was done to protect herself or did he try to walk away or she chase him and then hit him? Was the guy who threw the punches charged too? I am not agreeing with this guys behaviour but the law states A person can only use force to defend themselves from a current or imminent threat, not to retaliate after the threat has passed make no mistake I hope this guy was done for GBH
