Intimacy coordinators shouldn’t be optional. The fact that Julia said she didn’t want one sets up that if one of the lesser-known actors did want one, they could potentially feel pressured to go without one.

Intimacy coordinators shouldn’t be optional. Imagine for a second that one actor said no but the other wanted to say yes. This alongside status and power hierarchies can make for some real risk in certain scenarios. Having an IC doesn’t take anything away from the art or scene it just builds in safety and protection for everyone

Intimacy coordinator should be mandatory. To protect all parties involved maybe the actors could just get to choose how involved they are, but it should be mandatory.

sure I understand that it's probably more awkward to have an intimacy coordinator especially from well experienced actors on set, but i think it should be mandatory to have one in order to protect the more vulnerable/younger actors. like it's not just for them it's for the whole industry
