As someone that works in oncology, I hate MyChart for THIS reason. The fact that these results can be viewed by a patient prior to their physician seeing them, is so problematic… especially when your oncologist has no time to consult both radiologists. I hate this for you but please remember “in the end, everything will be okay. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end”. Stay strong Syd ❤️❤

As a nurse, this is one of the many things I find problematic with patient portals. Yes you should be able to see your results. But simultaneously with discussing it with your care provider. Although I really don’t trust doctors much these days, please try to wait and see what yours says. I know it’s easier said than done.

in 1981, I read my Dr's notes from UCLA...back then everything was on paper...even tho Dr's at UCLA had already told me i had 1-3yrs of life...I read the reports anyway...everything in the reports said exactly what they told me...in the final diagnosis column..I read "Terminal"...that scared me more than them telling me...Syd, my point is, even tho my reports were grim...and that was 44yrs ago...I'm still here! same illness!! I've been following and praying for you since the beginning....keep that positive energy!!! that's gonna get you through this...you're a beautiful soul....it's OK to cry, be sad, be mad....just stay strong and keep the faith...🙏

Radiology @ Mass needs to verbally talk with Radiology at Sloane to share thoughts. Talk to your oncologist and get his thoughts on going forward. Maybe it's not as bad as you think. Gentle 🫂.
