It's interesting that when Mexicans immigrated in the 60's&70's they were segregated into black neighborhoods, so their children adopted the music of their black classmates whose parents had similarly recently migrated from the Midwest with their Motown records. That black Midwest culture became a permanent part of Chicano culture. 🤔
