This has nothing to do with misogyny. Now, when did the kid tell you it is ok to resort to violence because of rejection? You have to understand that this boy is mentally unstable. From the father's description of his son, I guess as much that he has some personality disorder and other psychological problems. We were also told that he had undergone psychological counselling. Even psychiatric treatment can only do so much. I had a classmate who had Paranoid Personality Disorder, which is a persistent distrust and suspicion of others, misinterpreting their intentions as malevolent. Because of this, nobody wanted to be his friend. He too underwent psychiatric treatment but didn't get any better. Apparently this boy was infatuated with the victim (gila bayang), confessed his feelings to her friends but he was just ignored. Made worse by teasing, this latest rejection was the last straw and he snapped. People like him seem to think the whole world is unfair and against them. Normal people don't go around killing their love interest because of being rejected.
