I’ve been caring for this Monstera Thai Constellation for a while now and have done the same with numerous other Monstera’s over the years. Over time, I’ve figured out a few simple habits that really make a difference in how well they grow. Here are the three main things I do: 💦 Watering and feeding – I wait until the potting mix is about 60% - 70% dry before watering. For me, that’s usually about once a week. Most of the time when I water I mix in liquid fertilizer to keep the plant fed. The method I use is a mix of top and bottom watering. I pour some water on top of the soil to get things started, and then let the plant absorb more water from the bottom. This ensures the potting mix gets evenly and thoroughly moist, which is especially important when it’s been dry for a long time. Always keep in mind that if you have a chunky soil mix, it can be a little more difficult to use this method as the water doesn’t wick up as easily, but I still let it sit there for a good 15 minutes. 🪴 Leaf Cleaning and Pest Control – I clean the leaves regularly, not just to keep them looking nice and allow for photosynthesis, but to help with pest control. I start by spraying them with a castille soap solution, letting it sit for a couple minutes and wiping them down. This helps remove any pests that might be hanging around, and it also helps me spot any issues early—especially those that might not come off with just a general wipe. In this case, I found some Mealybugs and took care of them with some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. ☀️ Lighting – Monstera Thai’s prefer high light to thrive. I was keeping mine next to a well lit window by my desk, but after I found Mealybugs on it, I decided to treat it and keep it outdoors and away from the rest of my other plants for a while. With just these three practices—watering with fertilizer, regular leaf cleaning, and strong light—my Monstera Thai Constellation you can see has grown full and healthy. I suggest you give them a try. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. #plants #houseplants #monstera #monstrofarm #thaiconstellation
