I mean... I have a decent amount of friends in law enforcement. That said, I can see where a single officer by him self would want to make sure he is in a sage environment. HOWEVER... I have also witnessed first hand how many officers that are adequately trained have interacted with civilians while open carrying and had absolutely no issues whatsoever. I kinda feel like if a person takes the time to get a appropriate holster and not just a gun tucked into a belt or pocket usually show that the individual has no intentions of causing harm but actively exercising his rights... I also think it's alot about the demeanor of individuals too.

Couldn’t they conduct the investigation without his name? They could’ve explained the call and asked if he was okay. Once he said he was okay they could’ve sent him on his way and maybe pointed out that he shouldn’t be laying down in parking lots lol idk it just seems strange to want to make the arrest based on the situation.
