You can also try a safety pin. I've been using this method for months, and my Alastor button is still with me. I usually give this tip to my customers whenever they buy buttons.

As a recommendation the pin locks don’t really work and they tend to bend and fall off so I recommend glueing those into place as well

I use a safety pin to act like a second pin, I’ve also used a paper clip but it makes it harder to take off later

I own one of these pain makers. I recommend really making sure that it is super secure because the amount of times these things have broken and fell off my bag or the top just completely gives up on life. I kind of personally recommend to like when you’re making the pin use any sort of glue you can like tape it to the bottom if that makes sense glue it to the bottom I don’t know.

Use safety pins and put it through the little clip part! So if the sharp thing comes off for whatever reason it won’t fall off

if you don't want to glue pins, then don't wear them on a backpack. Believe me. I've done everything else, the lock thing, the safety pin one, all of it. Nothing works.I've always lost them in two days or less

You can also put a paper clip through! Basically you have the pin attached and you but the paper clip through the bar and clip itself. My friends say it works well!
