oh understanding the tone and undertone is one thing, but finding products to match it is hell! like manufacturers rarely indicate undertone :( I found L'Oréal selling true match foundation with C/W/N

you can also be cool olive, neutral olive and warm olive btw. Olive is an overtone

I'm olive, with a yellowish appearance but not warm. The golden colour doesn't look too good on me nor does the silver one. Neither does bronze/copper. In summer I tan quite quickly (in parts, my body tans quite heterogeneously). I lose my tan in a week; in winter my tone is very light but the foundations for light skin are white and those for medium skin are rather dark. The bases for olive skin are very dark and sometimes too orange. It's a nightmare

Olive skin leans more towards a cool undertone, we have a yellow/golden overtone that looks warm..that can confuse us and especially others who try to give us make up advice in stores etc. but most of us are cool or neutral toned. There are warm olives though but it’s more cool.
