No, it's not inaccurate, actually. It just counts every single kingdom and empire throughout the ages separately, down through modern nation-states in the 20th century. The screenshot you pause on just says it "ignores the social, political, and economic contexts" i.e., it's not inaccurate but there are other reasons why.
