@crmnallyobsessed: 37-year-old Michael Kilbourn of Otsego, Michigan pleaded guilty to starting the fire that burned part of a local playground last month. Firefighters were called to Northside Park on September 2 after it was reported that someone set the park's wooden play structure on fire. The east side of the structure suffered extensive damage, but firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire, stopping it from spreading any further. Kilbourn turned himself into police on other outstanding warrants the following week and was charged with third-degree arson. Kilbourn’s nephew, an unnamed minor, was also charged with third-degree arson. The nephew admitted he started the fire with his uncle, who told him they were going to "burn something," court records detailed. The nephew also told investigators he did what he was told because he was afraid of his uncle. By pleading guilty, Kilbourn was able to have his other charges dropped, which included contributing to the delinquency of a minor and a habitual offender fourth offense. Kilbourn now faces up to 10 years in prison and will be sentenced on October 27. #truecrime
