I gave up correcting people on my pronouns because it's easier to expect to be misgendered than it is to be denied my identity on purpose because it's too "difficult" to have basic respect. As if I choose this by my own free will???

100% this! I dress femme to high femme because that's what I like on my body. But that doesn't mean I'm less non-binary 🙄 I'm so far dissociated from my body that it feels like I'm dressing a doll in the morning and "femme clothes" are just the prettiest! (I'm so tired of getting mis-gendered left and right even with my pronoun pins 😭)

I find this argument happening a lot with cis women who don’t even express themselves as femme. “Oh I hate dresses and makeup, I’m one of the guys… how can that person be girly but not a girl?!?”

I feel a lot like this too. I'm agender, I usually say I feel like a blob in the shape of a human being lol. My body is hyper feminine on its own, so even if I dressed more masculine it doesn't make me look more gender neutral (and let's face it, it looks bad on me). I honestly wish I looked androgynous but I really don't. And I like pretty clothes so yeah, I really do look like a girl even though I am not.
