I agreeee! I was so disappointed! I only write. I got and hated it. Replaced the nib with and still hated it. So cheap feeling and so scratchy. Everyone recommending twsbi is correct.

diamine oxblood or writer's blood might suit you ma'am. they're both blood colors with slight difference. think if you smear blood on your skin? its slightly warmer, thats oxblood. it looks exactly like that. writer's blood is like....imagine clotted blood. its red but slightly darker, thats it. it also have slight burgundy in it. me eprsonally love oxblood more because i use it to write. but if you love drawing i think you will love both and they both suits your gothic aesthetic!!

I felt the same way! I bought a Kaweco sport because it was highly loved..and I was disappointed and underwhelmed when I got it😅. It’s beautiful (when adding the clip that you have to pay separately for) but It was TINY, and feels very scratchy. I ordered a TWSBI Eco and I’m hoping that it also doesn’t disappoint.🥹 also Diamine Oxblood is a BEAUTIFUL deep red.

Diamine do lots of cheap ink with lots of colours! Also the kaweco sport is a pocket pen that’s why it’s smaller! Also I’m not sure why your clip is falling off I’ve never had that’s issue before 😁❤

I LOVE the preppy platinum. I have the 02 and 03 and I love them. People definitely sleep on it as a pen where the Kaweco seems to be wildly inconsistent with the nibs.

I mean the kaweco sport is a cheap small fountain pen for traveling and the ink is kinda whatever bc it’s cheap. I like my twsbi go because it has a spring loaded filling mechanism so filling w ink isn’t messy. I want to try diamine ink in oxblood for a dark red since I have syrah but it’s pretty pink to me. Also want to warn you that don’t get glitter inks bc they will get jammed in the pen unless u get a broad tip pen

I recommend using a syringe instead of the converter. The converter is more expensive and in my experience messy.

You can technically refill your cartridges, but you need a syringe and a needle. Flush out the old cartridge, and the refill with the syringe and ink of choice! Out of these, the Graf von Faber Castell is waterproof and comes in standard cartridges too! (The ‘maroon standard’ is from KWZ, but i cut it too close to the text lol). Another one to look into, is iron gall inks. Over time, as your work ages, the inks darken. I have not really found a red one yet, and I’ve heard that those inks are more maintenance-heavy for your pen (like shimmers and sheening inks are as well).

Diamine's Red Dragon is 🩸 g o r g e o u s 🩸 & my personal favorite. I also have and love their Writer's Blood which I feel like is a little bit browner, like coagulated blood.

get the adapter, there is some gorgeous inks out there, I have one called sinners blood, it's darker and the name is great
