just got back from Malta where people leave their laptops, phones etc on an outside table whilst they go in and order a drink/food, in the UK you are constantly looking over your shoulder, checking who's around before taking your phone out....it's an horrid place

It’s also just about being aware of your surroundings and always holding onto your stuff (even in your bag or pocket). I’ve never been robbed in Paris or London by doing this. It’s sad that it’s necessary, but unfortunately this is the world we live in now
