@theanxietyhealer: LETS CELEBRATE US. not a pity party, promise 😂 just a reminder that being single in your 40s is equal parts peaceful and lonely sometimes. both can exist. #singlewomenover40 #HealingJourney #datingover40 #midlifewomen
I missed those marks. It’s not going to happen. I stopped caring honestly. It’s gotten pretty lonely so nothing seems worth getting excited for.

At 48 the only person who claps for me & celebrates my wins is me. Maybe my dog, too. ❤

I’m turning 50 in February and 10+ years single. I don’t have the energy to off anything for myself. I will attend other friends” 50th celebrations but the idea of asking people to celebrate me is nails on a chalkboard.

What was the last thing you did that was awesome? You make your own milestones and accomplishments.

I’m 43, lost my husband unexpectedly in February. Learned that my friends weren’t friends and that my 4 dogs are my best friends and are always there to celebrate me even if it’s just pooping.

I hit 60 and realized I have had no real life yet. No friends, no family, no future. My fault and anxiety issues. Lots of regret.

Even if I did have something to celebrate, there’s no one who cares enough to celebrate with me.

Holidays can be hard since they are all family oriented. Made my peace celebrating on my own.

I get it. I've had this exact thought. For me it's like now no one cares because I'm old so it doesn't matter. I've been married, divorced, have my daughter....so fore,y birthday doesn't even matter now. I just get told "you're over 40, why does it matter?". 😕

I think even partnered ppl feel this as they get older. We set it up so that there’s very few milestones after marriage and kids… retirement is the very last one. When youreyoung, it’s becoming an adult graduating high school, going to college, graduating, first job, engaged, etc… it’s all front loaded. We need new things to celebrate all along.
