I also use this method and it’s the ONLY WAY! only difference is, once I braid it I cover the braid in a leave in conditioner before I wrap it 🤌🏻

This scares me! I grew up riding Morgan’s and we wrapped tails similar to this but used socks. One horse dunked his tail in his bucket over night in the freezing cold and it literally froze off. Is the this waterproof?

In my experience, vet wrap traps a lot of moisture in the tail. We’ve used a sock (like ankle or higher) and cut the top in half ~2 to 6 inches down. Tie that through the loop you create with the braid. Breathes a lot better :)
