This happened to me in 2023 too! Didn’t find out until was doing my son , who gets SSI , his financial review and they said there was a 1099 for me from 2023 for 59k! Thank god they didn’t count it when I told them it was fraud . Contacted the IRS and because my transcript had a lot of the company’s name and IT number redacted they refused to give me the information I needed to file their claim. Makes zero sense to protect scammers . They even said they could see where someone tried to file taxes in 2023 but didn’t have our PIN number. I’m scared to file our return because the IRS will say we left off fraudulent 1099 for a company I have no name or IT number for. It’s insane

does not matter. VA disability is for the disability you got from serving. not what you can disability in civilian employ. it is that you cannot continue serving

you know what I don't feel bad I've watched them play that disability role and then had him working right next to me earn in six figures and their biggest concern was how do I get to 100% so I can retire

this story is not correct. VA disability checks are based on what level the VA doctors say you are disabled 10% 20% 50% 90% 100% and what your pay was while serving. it has nothing to do with how much money you make in you civilian job. if your disability check amount has been reduced it was due to the VA doctors changing your disability percentage.
