former bridal stylist here- if shape wear makes you more comfortable 100% find some, but I used to tell my brides really thin seamless panties in the right cut are usually way more comfortable and also give the smooth look you're wanting. Personally I've tried so many different brands of shape wear & feel like I'm suffocating after a couple hours no matter what.
