@ezxxm: 2017 Justice League interview❄️ Ezra: “Ray and I are both total nerds,” Ezra laughs. “We’re the kind of people who grew up and still live in the worlds where superheroes exist. Getting to actually be one is just… incredible. What I really want people who read this to understand is that all those possibilities you hold inside — those worlds that live within your own heart — they’re powerful sources of energy. Never lose that. No matter what anyone says about you. You have to keep your passion alive, and you have to listen to — and follow — the voice that comes from within.” Ray: “The struggles Victor [Cyborg] goes through are things that a lot of people deal with,” Ray says. “His father’s a brilliant scientist who wanted his son, with an IQ of 170, to follow in his footsteps. But Victor chose sports instead. That created this distance between what the parent wants and what the child wants for himself. Playing Victor meant I had to face my own inner conflicts too. As actors, we always look for the parts of ourselves that we share with our characters — that’s where the truth is. In this case, my own experience of growing up without my father became the key to understanding Victor. I poured moments from my own life directly into the performance.” Ezra: “It’s kind of strange…” Ezra continues softly. “People tend to think of Barry [The Flash] as this light, funny character. But every being that shines brightly carries a shadow, right? To me, Barry’s a lonely, sad person. He lost his mother when he was just a kid, and his father — who was innocent — got sent to prison. He’s been alone his whole life. So I really connected to that longing in him — that need to reach out and connect with others. I feel like he has the tears of a clown, you know? People who’ve lost something, who’ve been through pain or grief, are often the ones who try the hardest to smile. My job was to show the joy Barry feels when he’s finally accepted by his friends. That joy exists in my own life too. I’ve been saved — literally — by my friends and my family. They’ve helped me stay here, stay alive, and see life as something beautiful.” For Ezra Miller, his own hero is Philip Seymour Hoffman — “Because he could play absolutely any role, and he brought such deep empathy into his characters. He shared his own flesh and blood through his art. That’s an incredibly difficult thing to do, and as an actor myself, I can only respect that,” Ezra explains. When it’s Ray’s turn to answer, his reply surprises everyone: “My hero? …Ezra Miller, I think.” Ezra bursts out laughing — “What?! Then I’m changing my answer! Okay, okay — Philip Seymour Hoffman for the late, and for the living… it’s Ray!” But it’s not flattery. For Ray Fisher, Ezra truly is a hero. “Seriously,” Ray says. “I really respect Ezra — the way they protect their craft, and at the same time care so deeply about collaboration. Honestly, there aren’t many actors I admire as much as the ones I’ve worked alongside. You learn from them. You witness their philosophy, their approach — up close. And Ezra’s one of those people.” #justiceleague #ezramiller #rayfisher #theflash #cyborg

It would be so exciting to play a superhero. You have the respect, admiration, & love from almost everyone. You have the ability too truly help others without fear or suffering. So grand, and a wonderful fantasy!

This interview is actually quite old, but I’ve been wanting to share it for a long time because it’s such a wonderful interview. I just didn’t have time, so I’m only sharing it now. I wish I could have shared it before the movie came out…Sorry for the delay😔
