Technology should not replace the teacher, it should *lstrengthen the learning experience. 5. Experiential Learning Give learners opportunities to learn by doing, not just by listening. This can include experiments, role-play, field trips, demonstrations, debates, practical activities and simulations. Remember: A learner may forget what you explained, but practical experiences often make concepts easier to understand and remember. 6. Differentiated Teaching Not every learner learns at the same speed or in the same way. A 21st-century teacher recognises differences in learners' **abilities, interests, learning needs and levels of understanding**. The teacher can vary activities, resources, questions and support so that more learners can succeed. 7. Problem-Based Learning Present learners with real-life problems and challenge them to think of possible solutions. For example: "Our school produces too much plastic waste. What can we do to reduce it?" Learners research, discuss, analyse possible solutions and defend their ideas. This prepares them for a world where they will need to solve problems rather than simply remember answers. The 21st-century classroom should not produce learners who only know how to repeat information.
