“Just smile once for the picture” my mom would say to 10 year old me who hated my crooked smile, should would poke me and try to make me laugh to get me to smile, sometimes it would work but sometimes I’d get so annoyed I’d walk off or refuse to take a picture. I still hate my crooked smile.

Oh how I wish i could tell her it didn't get worse, but it did
