Ugh we did something like this in Scotland. My husband mistakenly put reg petrol in our diesel engine somewhere near Loch Ness. We also had enterprise. Luckily it happened early in the day but took 5-6 hours for a tow to Inverness.

Omg you rented with enterprises I did too. I’m interested to hear how they’re going to treat you with this incident bc I will never rent from them again after my experience in the Highlands with them. I recognize that brochure.

A similar thing happened to my best friend and I about an hour outside of Fort William trying to head back to Edinburgh on a Sunday afternoon. Our tire was completely blown out, also quickly found out they don’t do spare tires in rentals. We also couldn’t figure out how to dial out and the car insurance company kept saying they would calk us back after they found a tire shop and then they wouldn’t. 5 hours and a tow to Fort William later, we got it fixed. We had to get it figured out because we were flying out of Edinburgh the following day. I’ve never been more stressed. Or more grateful that we splurged on the most comprehensive rental insurance
