This all makes a lot of sense. Ben Savage is a Democrat and they are known for being incapable of maintaining friendships with ppl who don’t share their political opinions. Liberals will completely cut off friends of 30yrs and even family members all because you must share their political views or you can’t be their friend. It’s really ridiculous. I knew right away that Ben had to be a moronic democrat just from the absurd behavior & once I looked it up, I was right lol so sad tho

Rider is very left leaning/progressive. He used to post a lot of anti-Trump/anti-republican/pro left stuff on Twitter. He was at a No Kings rally today (he posted that he was there on his Instagram stories). Yes, he did say that he and Ben didn't agree much politically when they were teens, and he also said that his own politics haven't changed much (which means Rider has always been left), which leads me to believe that Ben was more conservative/right back then. Rider did say that he does not know what Ben's politics are now.

Honestly, I think most of my childhood friends wouldn't endorse me if I ran for office. I'm politically liberal, and I come from a very red state. I wouldn't ghost them over that, but that's just me.

Or maybe just maybe people grow apart. I have never heard any of them talk bad about each other. Maybe they just stopped. That happens. They have their own lives and views on life. They don’t have to be friends to make the public happy.
