that's not true because let's see how a gaming laptop operates based of how you use it 1: let's say you use it for browsing or light tasks the laptop will operate like this: since the cpu isn't being forced by demanding tasks it won't heat up at somewhere like 60 or 70 (which happens during gaming) which means the cooling system will be whisper quiet like a "whossss" and then turn off once the laptop is cool enough 2: now let's say you start a game since your on a break in class: the laptop now since your playing games it will start getting hotter which means it's cooling system will start to work more aggressively (say it gose from 2400rpm to 3700rpm) during gaming it's fine for the fans to speed up during demanding tasks if your doing nothing the laptop won't be loud
