The only logical explanation is the two natures: divine and human, united in one Person. As God He knew; as man He experienced limitation. The power that went out of Him shows the distinction of operations. divine energy working through His human body, what the Fathers call theandric energy. Your “one composite nature” theory collapses this: either the divine becomes limited, or the human becomes infinite. Chalcedon preserves both fully one Christ, two natures, without confusion or division.
