What do you mean his tone was so unique? He’s got a regular American Stratocaster, and he’s running it through some Marshall full stacks; and he had some primitive fuzz petals. Lots of guys were using the stuff – like Pete Townsend. thatThe only thing unique was his playing. And that was usually pretty sloppy. He was OK, though.
