@hoodtalez: I-40 HIGHWAY — THE UNSEEN DEAD ZONE The interstate called I-40 highway connects states like Oklahoma and North Carolina — but parts of it are creeping into legend for being deadly, mysterious, and unnervingly silent. In Oklahoma, I-40 is ranked among the state’s most dangerous roads, with fatal crashes concentrated around metro areas. (Source: LawterLaw)
There’s also been active enforcement: in a multi-day operation, DHS and ICE stopped semitrucks and drivers with questionable credentials along I-40. (Source: ICE / DHS) In North Carolina, that stretch through mountains and narrow passes has long been a hotspot — fog, rockslides, tight shoulders, and frequent fatal accidents make I-40 dangerous status real. (Source: NC I-40 Wikipedia)
Lately, multiple i40 crimes surfaced: shootings aimed at vehicles on I-40 in the Raleigh–Cary area left people injured and suspects detained. (Source: AP News) But the danger doesn’t only come from crashes or stray bullets.
The I-40 bridge disaster in Oklahoma back in 2002 took 14 lives in one moment. (Source: Wikipedia)
And in 2024, Hurricane Helene ravaged parts of I-40 North Carolina — washed out lanes, landslides, threatening terrain. (Source: NC I-40 Wikipedia / Interstate 40 article) So what if these aren’t isolated events?
What if the I-40 highway is itself a shifting battlefield of risk — where accidents, crimes, and disasters intersect in silence?
If you’ve driven I-40 Oklahoma or I-40 North Carolina — or been on any stretch you’d never forget — share your exit, your story.
Follow me — I’ll keep leaking the maps, the surveillance gaps, and the crash sites they hope you’ll forget. #antdolla #hoodtalez #scarystories

I have always had that uneasy feeling on I40. Also by the French Broad River. I call it the dead people river. They are always finding bodies in there.

I'm in Oklahoma and people go missing on that interstate all the time. Most remain unsolved and most are Native American women like myself. Don't stop for anyone! Call the hwp and tell them if you really want to help.
