Democrats/liberals don’t want an end to the oppression, they just want to be comfortable and accepted in it

You are well within your right to not vote but fact is it is never smart to not vote. You should vote for the BETTER of the two. I’d vote for a president that’s homophobic as a gay person if I agreed with them more so than another candidate.

The American voting system has always confused me. To me a two party system seems inherently undemocratic since it can’t possibly allow for a truly pluralistic government. (I’m from Germany where no one party typically ever gets an absolute majority so we usually have a coalition which also has its big disadvantages as seen in a recent government failure that led to reelections but overall I do feel like it makes it easier for me to decide to vote for a party that isn’t as popular (tho it still needs 5% of votes to end up in our parliament)). Do you think America will leave the two party system behind anytime soon? Also is the biggest reason people feel so pressured to only vote either Democrat or Republican because the president has so much power or do you think there are other bigger factors at play? I’m curious what your thoughts are
