For me personally a 7 makes sense with YOUR scoring system but not the one the judges seem to be using currently 😕 she could’ve been higher as compared to some others

See the thing is you still gave her 4 points higher than Andy and in line with Whitney and Mark and Robert and Whitney. Their 7s are saying she's only 1 pt better than Andy and that's not judging fairly.

I think the issue is they are scoring Andy too high and so her routine was lots better than Andy but to only be one point over. Love Andy so no shade on him but Elaine is so good. She’s one of my faves.

Alan mentioned her shoulder mobility limitations early on, and they were finding ways around it. Only so much camouflage can be done though ❤

Tbh I would have liked that production defined how much the “3rd” person had to be part of the dance bc some have a very active role and others like Robert had only a second in the ending.

I don’t think most of us are against her dance being scored a 7. I mean a 7 isn’t a bad score. We are just against her being scored only 1 point higher than Andy. If the judges had started off the season scoring everyone on the same rubric (Carrie Ann specifically mentioned in episode 2 or 3 that she scores no dance experience different than those with experience) and actually gave out 2-4s as they should have then we wouldn’t be in this situation.

I LOVED their routine and can’t believe she got 7s. Like…1 point higher than Andy? (I love Andy but come on). Alan has been killing it with the choreography too. I feel like Elaine is progressing so well each week.

I've always known you were one of the best pros to be on the show ever. The way you do these videos fully explains why. The way you teach and explain things just MAKES SENSE. even to someone who's never danced. Love it

You gave it an 8, and even if you gave it a 7 it’s 3 points higher than Andy. I think it can be difficult to process 7s for someone who is miles ahead of Andy. I think that’s what is bothering many people including myself. The same goes for giving 9s to Dylan who in my opinion didn’t deserve it and is 2 points higher than Elaine. I think the inconsistencies is what throws people off

unfortunately, I didn't love that the dedicatees were involved in the dances so much, because as you said, it's hard to judge when there's heavy involvement from that third person

This is what I think they should do for scores. Each dance style should have a set of like 5 questions you get to give a score to. So like Foxtrot, “Did the couple stay in Frame?” Or idk other technical and then maybe 1 question for “Emotion of this dance” THEN based of those scores, you can weigh them by significance and or do an average.. higher someone smart to make a program or make an excel spreadsheet haha and that will give you your judge their final score for THAT specific dance style and couple!!! But I also expecting each celeb to be perfect at every little thing for every style of dance, while learning them in 1 week… isn’t realistic… they aren’t professionals. I don’t watch and see the small technical mistakes that the judges point out so it gets kind of annoying. So this would make it more fair in my opinion especially since they will likely never dance most dances twice in one season.
