I just read a Reddit thread that said to mist the tray and then put the suction plate down or to wet the suction first and then put it on the tray!

I bought the elk and friends stainless steel bowls with the silicone suction sleeves and they don’t stick to my mockingbird high chair. I’m so mad that I didn’t get the Tripp trapp! I was told this would be better because plates would suction better and it would be easier to clean. Now, I am gonna buy the Tripp trapp after wasting money on this mockingbird!

i noticed that my son thinks the plate is empty if it looks like that. if i scrape it back into a pile he’ll eat a bit more. maybe worth a try

my 13.5 month old eats in her toddler tower now and we have ceramic plates with suction that stick very well to the granite

When the plate is near empty they think they’re done. I add a little bit more on the plate and if it still happens, I take it. Sometimes they just wanna see what happens when they drop stuff and sometimes they think it’s a game. Try switching for things you don’t mind cleaning up (like cheerios) and see if it helps!

I put my boys plate on a tiny table with a chair and he no longer throws his food or plate and kinda grazes. Grab some food eat go play and come back he is 13 months and it has drastically improved his eating and how much he eats
