Massive Monkfish Caught in the Tide! Foraging, Cooking & Releasing Fresh Ocean Treasures When the tide goes out, the ocean reveals its hidden feast! In this video, I head to the beach with my friends to set a net early in the morning and return at sunset to see what treasures the sea has gifted us. From digging up razor clams in the wet sand to discovering a massive live monkfish tangled in our net, every moment is packed with excitement and surprise. As we pull the net from the water, it's unbelievably heavy - a sure sign of a good catch! Out comes a big monkfish and several giant shrimps still moving. The monkfish might look scary, but it's a true delicacy when stewed with tofu. While we keep the big one for dinner, we also make sure to release the smaller shrimps and clams back into the sea, keeping our foraging sustainable. Next, we light up the fire, toss in the fresh catch, and cook it right by the waves. The result? A bubbling seafood soup so fresh and aromatic you can almost smell the ocean through the screen. Every bite bursts with sweetness from the sea - the shrimp, the razor clams, and the monkfish all bringing pure umami joy. Join me in this seaside adventure full of laughter, flavor, and respect for nature. It's not just about eating - it's about connecting with the ocean, appreciating its gifts, and sharing the moment with friends. Watch until the end for the ultimate 'shrimp burger” moment and a toast to another beautiful day by the sea! #sealife #oceanlife #beachlife #coastaladventures #catchandcook - @seafoodtalk
