@planb.sg: In Parliament, Shanmugam and Pritam Singh crossed swords over the use of race and religion in politics, with Shanmugam citing preacher Noor Deros’ remarks urging Muslims to vote along religious lines. Does this debate still hold relevance today, or is it a timely wake-up call for Singapore’s political landscape?
This tactic for PAP to use identity politics and making it an issue will backfire. Please stop!

when such manipulation on parliament happened, there must be something that the government is hiding from us. the real issue is huge and this distraction is very good to do something and make us fight each other. let's see what's the news in the next few months
Here goes again, PAP playing with racist cards to intimidate voters who voted the oppositions.

Church leaders were "interviewed" by "home team officers" when they united against the rise of the LGBTQ+ movement in Pink Dot. Why? Is it identity, racial or religious politics or was it considered a threat to Pink Dot's national security? 🤔

If they won with a high percentage majority vote, I guarantee this issue will not be brought up in parliament. It's just politics

It is inevitable not to play the race cards or religion as different section of people have different needs. To a certainty extent every politicians does play the race or religion cards to win votes. if not why do you speak in the different languages to target the different audience.

Palestine was never a Malay issue to begin with. Are the Irish Malay? No!! yet Ireland has consistently stood with the Palestinian people because it recognises their struggle as a human and humanitarian issue, not a racial one. Only in Singapore do some try to twist compassion for suffering civilians into a racial matter. It says more about our own narrow mindset than about the cause itself.
