I started shaving my dogs paw pads to remove the fur that traps the yeast in the paws. Its been helping too!

Hi vet tech here, if you haven't already taken him to a vet he should see one to determine the cause of this. Golden are prone to allergies environmental and food allergies. Epsom salts wont remove yeast you need a certain shampoo. Please dont listen to the comments telling you to take chicken out of his diet, of this is a true food allergie changing his food from chicken to something else will not help since all dog food is cross contaminated when made. He would need a legit hypoallergenic food only available by prescription from a vet, food allergies are not based on chicken, fish, beef etc it is the protien and how it is broken down in the body. If this is year round its food related, if only during certain times probably environmental and a vet can give you prescription meds for the itching and yeast.

We moved our border collie on to sensitive skin and tummy salmon food. All fish based. Cleared her skin and her coat is so glossy

I shave my golden’s paw pads and he rarely gets hot spots in between his paws anymore!!!!

For anyone overwhelmed by options for these type of issues, we ended up with Rescue Allergy Chews from To The Rescue after a lot of trial and error. Worth researching.✌️

I have used the yellow listerine for all of my dogs Hotspots. This has saved me several times from the vet lol Just dilute it with some water and rub it on with a paper towel and dont let him pick it until it dries. Hope hes better soon!

He’s allergic to something!! Get him on allergy vaccines every one-two months and figure out what he’s allergic to😭💖 mine gets Cytopoint Vet injection every two months and she has completely stopped chewing and itching her paws🌸
