If the tech doesn’t get paid then make the writers or porters do it. Their salaries/ hourly rates should cover it.

Pay us for the videos, we as techs need a raise, increase warranty labor times, if it’s telling the truth with the customers tell them how y’all ripping them off just to pay the tech measly $20 per hour but charging them $220 an hour

The video mpi’s don’t work. The customer will either not get the video, not know how to view the video or become frustrated on the condition of their vehicle and how it was recorded with their knowledge. And it’s more difficult when you have a loud busy shop. The customer/service relationship needs to be established with quality of work and first time repairs.

I usually make a quick video. it's not a big deal. the customer don't even watch them half the time. I can't say my up sales have increased as a result but adding it to the multi point isn't a problem for me

If I don't get paid for doing them and I don't get work upsold from doing them they are a waste of my time. The door rate at the dealership, even mine has got so high about $200/hr it's almost impossible to upsale anything

im around 80-85% on my video mpis, but the techs the same level as me with 40% and lower video attached to mpi percentage are making more hours on the same CP tickets. what am I missing here?
