Even the smaller, humbler corners such as Tei, Circului, and Morarilor turn tender beneath the fading light, their benches hosting solitary readers, their paths softened by gold. The city feels older, wiser, wrapped in the scent of wet bark and smoke, the sound of the past brushing against your sleeve. In this season, every park becomes a diary written in leaves. Children’s laughter ricochets through the bare branches of Tineretului, dogs chase ghosts of summer through Carol Park, and somewhere near a cracked fountain in Kiseleff, an old man feeds the pigeons as if time itself depended on it. The metropolis, so restless in its veins, now seems to hum at a slower frequency, in tune with the rustle of decay that feels strangely alive.
