As a hungarian I'm so ashamed I have not yet read anything by him so far. Planning to start with one of his short story collections, Seiobo There Below, which examines the place of beauty and art in our society. He's coming out with a new book later this year, heard an interview with his editor that the publisher has to work around the clock to have more copies published 😅

Sounds like his works would be a real bear to translate. Fortunately Szirtes seems up to the task. Krasznahorkai apparently selected Szirtes himself based on Szirtes' own body of work.
