Hijab isn't about what you feel is comfortable or what society accepts, Hijab is something that Allah made mandatory for women for their protection and their honour. Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ says in Surah Ahzab verse 59:

I know that in certain countries, Muslim women get harassed and attacked just because they wear the Hijab, I myself have faced harassment too as a Niqabi. in the Hadith I mentioned of ʿĀ'ishah, back then, Muslims used to be persecuted in such horrific ways, and they used to live in extremely hot conditions, yet when the verse was revealed, ʿĀ'ishah said that the women immediately covered themselves. they didn't have a 'journey' for it, they just did it, because that is how much they loved Allah and were willing to submit themselves to him. why do you think that Muslims are willing to go out in public, knowing they will be mocked or potentially harmed, but still wear a Hijab or carry a Qur'an with them, etc? its because of their firm love and Humility and submittion to Allah. that is what islam literally means, Islam means to submit to the will of Allah, and being a Muslim is to submit yourself to Allah, and wearing the Hijab means you are submitting yourself, your beauty and sacrificing your comfort to Allah. btw, this doesn't mean that a Hijabi/Niqabi is more religious than a non-hijabi. your Hijab doesn't show your status in deeds and piety, as a Non Hijabi may be more righeous and sincere in acts and has better character than a Hijabi/Niqabi. -‐- if you're on a journey with the Hijab, then when are you going to change? when are you actually going to make the effort to perfect it? another important thing I'd like to highlight, is that none of us know when we will die. a few weeks ago, a friend of mine passed away just as she finished high-school. what makes you think you certainly have a lot of time left? do you want the first time you wear the Hijab properly to be when you are shrouded to enter your g.rave? this isn't to shame sisters, as all of us have our struggles and may be in circumstances they don't have control over, what im trying to say, is try to at least make an effort to take the step towards a correct Hijab. remember, with the Hijab comes the Akhlaq, your mannerisms and character, if you are unable to perfect your physical Hijab, at least perfect your character. in order to truly love Allah completely, you have to love his laws too. may Allah guide us all and have mercy upon the Ummah, اللَّهم آمين (im not perfect myself, so please don't assume that I am, this is just an advice and reminder for myself just as much as it is for our beloved sisters 🥲) #xyzabc #islamic_media #Hijab #Allah
