these protests would be effective if they were disruptive. throwing a march once every 3 months on a Saturday when the people you need to protest are out of town anyway and then ending the protest at a certain time because of laws...but the ppl running the government break laws every day? but they get mad when we say it's performative.

protests are a joke in america, it’s solely symbolic so people feel good about themselves. i remember going to the black lives matter protests in 2020 and there was no action or follow up after, everyone just made cool posters for social media

I agree. Peaceful protesting can be beautiful. But it’s not effective. I just know the op laughs at our signs and little chants. Once we show PHYSICAL ACTIVISM that’s when things will move in the direction we need it to.

I feel like individualism really tears this country apart. effective protesting takes a lot of sacrifice and risking of your life. everyone is very about themselves (rightfully so) that a weekend shout is better to them then potentially losing their homes, jobs and lives. in this day and age you can't risk something like that because there's a little chance of getting it back.

Fun fact: There is a reason why “Gun Control” is promoted by closet white supremacists. There was no gun control in this country UNTIL the Black Panthers started to open carry in Cali. Then guns became a problem. So anyone telling you gun control is good, wants you to never be a threat to the power structure. There is a reason FREEDOM OF ASSEMBLY is part of the 1st amendment…. And the right to bear arms is the 2nd….. because the 2nd is there in case the 1st doesn’t work out.
