I’m in Tampa and most people are on the shots. Skinny is in again, muscles/curves aren’t as trendy now. I grew up here and I know what u mean. It’s a status thing. The pressure is so much, ED culture is strong/huge again rn

I hate to see the diet culture of the 90s come back. It was so toxic! I think the muscles/curves help you look young and strong and I’m curious what the long term effect of it is.

Im in my 50s also and i am also more of the muscular body type. Our muscles will keep us fit and able to move as we age. Lets keep that in mind and cherish that!! 💪🏻

It’s the influencer culture. We see these very filtered and curated images and especially younger girls feel like that’s the expectation and standard they need to be considered beautiful.

I live in Tampa, it’s sad, I see it everywhere & I hear them talking about it too. It’s changed here, a lot. Too many have moved here & changed the environment- not for the better. 😒

I am a pilates instructor in tampa and I am seeing this too. Which is why everyone wants the hot sculpt pilates. I try to get them out of that midset that your muscles help you thrive as you age but it’s hard because this is the trend.

Their may be some skinny college girls that may be taking things, but i will say Pilates is very common amongst us young adults in Tampa and we tend to stay toned and petite

My daughter is that way naturally. She is very thin. She doesn’t work out so maybe doesn’t have muscles because many young people don’t work out
