WHY would an owner of a restaurant destroy their own receipts? It’s just not logical … regardless of whether they’re friends with the ppl … and I also find it humerous that the cops ASSUME that they’re guilty of something instead of accepting the couple DIDNT drink heavily at that location (people drink at home … it’s cheaper!! lol) … but the business owner’s unwillingness to help police with their investigation is his RIGHT: it’s the officer’s responsibility to conduct their investigation and obtain information, and it RARELY works in anyone’s favour when someone who is detached from the situation is being asked for information that they are not sure of …. Truly an over-reaction by the officers in that they acted in a rude and aggressive manner towards someone who just didn’t want to have anything to do with the situation!

I also find it INCREDIBLY interesting that when the server reported the couple ordered “3 or 4 drinks” typically, he didn’t ask for clarification on whether that was EACH or TOTAL … this indicates the officers assumption that these individuals were guilty instead of looking for the TRUTH of the matter … but I’m not a TRAINED INVESTIGATOR EMPLOYED BY THE POLICE (I’m just a common civilian)
