I think part of it is that Miles is not a good singer, and the closest thing to singing is whistling. In the same way that Miles isn’t a traditional spider-man, but he’s found a different way to be successful on his own.

The sound got more aggresive once it was revealed that he was an anomaly. I think the sound will be even more aggresive in BTSV if Miles finds out something else relating to him being the original anomaly.

I think the whistle is kinda showing familiarity, but something off. Like when he got his powers and was walking down the hallway, sleeping in his dorm, whistle, and when he goes to earth 42 and realises he isn't home, the whistle is different, showing that something is WRONGGGGG
