I don't think its weird at all. I can think of a number of scnarios where you would want to record without a distracting white flashing light. Once such encounter would be ANY unsolicited interaction with police.

They may just put in an update that led must be working I’m using mine in work too as a back of house manager I can look at the stock coming in once all labels are facing out, look at invoice and they tell me if all stock is there. Great for assistance with inventory control
