@cops.cam.night: Part 1: Over $3,000 in Cash, an EBT Card, and a Purse Full of Stolen Makeup :On September 3, 2025, deputies were positioned inside the loss prevention office at Target, monitoring live surveillance footage of a female suspect actively concealing merchandise inside her purse. The suspect was observed wearing a tight-fitted outfit with high-heeled shoes and carrying a large brown handbag placed in a shopping cart. Deputies observed the woman select numerous cosmetic items, remove them from store shelves, and conceal them inside her purse while continuing to shop. After bypassing all points of sale without rendering payment, deputies exited the office and detained her just outside the store entrance. A search of the suspect’s purse revealed $206.89 worth of unpaid merchandise along with over $3,000 in cash and an EBT card. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with Petit Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance Without a Prescription. She was transported to the county detention facility and booked without incident. All evidence was photographed and submitted into property. Court records later showed that the drug charge was dismissed by the State Attorney’s Office. The theft charge remains active as Petit Theft – First Degree (Property valued between one and three hundred dollars).#cops #fyp #police
