OH MY GOODNESS, I LITERALLY DID THIS WITH MY Custom Built Laptop. Spent $463 total. I used a blank Asus ROG strix g17/15 PCB, added my own CPU, GPU, VRAM. EVERYTHING. I'm about to Upgrade the GPU in the future but for now it's rocking a 2070 Super and a i9-10980HK. I'm gonna build and mount my own heatsink here soon for the CPU because stock cooler sucks and it thermal throttles with the power. I used to not have sound for a while but I fixed the issue and the only major issue is the keyboard doesn't work just yet because of the keyboards having specific firmware. I'll figure it out soon when I got some time but for now it's pretty much fully functional. It also has a nice 240hz 15in IPS screen. Looks just like a regular Asus laptop outside.
